Antique flower pot?

Alright. So I have this antique flower pot. It%26#039;s glass... It%26#039;s yellow. It has a flower type design around the rim and in triangles that point towards the base. Their are also smooth triangles that point toward the rim. Um... The flowers aren%26#039;t painted on they are part of the pot (brain crampage)... Um. I%26#039;m just wondering about it. I%26#039;m not looking to see really. I%26#039;d just like some info. I cant find any manufacture%26#039;s name on it. I%26quot;m assuming it came from montana, because it was purchased an antique shop in montana. Um... It%26#039;s about four inches tall and 3%26#039;4 inches wide... Anything? Sorry I dont have a picture right now. :(

Look on the bottom of the vase and see if there

is anything printed there. I would suggest you

take your vase to antique dealers in your area and get their opinion on the value or where to find

information on it.
Reply:Look around the painted edges.Some artists sign their names in odd places.And just initials sometimes.

Math question?

How many feet of fencing should be purchased to enclose a circular flower garden that has a diameter of 18ft. Round to the nearest tenth of a foot.

Hint: I think you have to use circumfrence/diameter equation.

Please show your equation and how you figured it out to help me please. Thanks so much!

Math question?
Here, you have to use the circumference equation.

Circumference = pi*diameter

Just substitute 18 feet for the diameter

Circumference = pi*18 feet

Circumference is about 56.54866776 feet.
Reply:d=18

thus, r=9

circumference= 2r(pi)= 2(9)(3.142)=56.556ft

nearest to tenth of a foot = 56.6 ft
Reply:The radius is half of the diameter.

The cirumference of a cirlce is equal to 2pi times the radius.

You can do the maths I%26#039;m sure :)
Reply:Since you are enclosing a round flower garden, your circumference formula is correct: C = pi (d) where d is the diameter of the circular garden.

You know that the diameter (given as 18 ft).

C = pi (d)

most texts use 3.14 as an approximation for pi but I don%26#039;t know what your teacher wants you to use. If 3.14, then

C = 3.14 (18)

C = 56.52 feet of fencing.

But if anywhere in the problem it said you could not purchase a fraction of a foot, then you would need 57 feet of fencing.

Flower Girl BASKET!!!?

Hi everyone!

I have looked and looked but all of the flower girl baskets that I have found (Michael%26#039;s, Hobby Lobby, Garden Ridge,online etc.) are tiny! My flower girl is 8 years old so I wanted something a little bigger. The ones that I have found are so small that only a few petals can fit into them. I really want the flower girl to have a variety of flower petal colors and to be able to throw enough to be visible.

I thought about making one, but I don%26#039;t want it to look cheap or home made. Any ideas? Pictures would be perfect! Also, if you know of a bigger basket that I can purchase, please let me know!

Thanks! :-D

Flower Girl BASKET!!!?
I got mine on Ebay and they%26#039;re a little bigger than the ones at Michael%26#039;s. They have fancy ones and less fancy ones. Just type in flower girl baskets and see what they have. Good luck!
Reply:Try walmart hun
Reply:we got our from the flea market at a silk flower shop any silk flower shop or live flower shop can do any basket up to make it perfect for your day find a basket and take it in on a trial run basically you might be more suprised then you think.... also there are places that you get your wedding invites made, they have books upon books of wedding items im sure they have somthing in them for this other wise you may have to go to a big wedding outfitter type store and browes their books good luck and congrats/ best wishes to you and your soon to be hubby
Reply:Try looking at places like Goodwill...they usually have huge assortments of baskets, and then you can decorate them with ribbons and such to go with your colors. Also, check out this website. I%26#039;m not sure what you%26#039;ve budgeted for this, but they had some pretty looking baskets. www.advantagebridal.com/flgiba.html Good luck!

Reply:Well, I collect Longaberger baskets, and they%26#039;re very well made, and make great heirlooms. It would be wonderful way for the flower girl to always remember the day. You could even write on the bottom of it (or on one of the splints) your names and wedding date. They make baskets in about any shape and size you can imagine. Congrats on your marriage!

Reply:a regular basket with a silk cloth in it is very classy. anything with a handle. a little ribbon does allot. cheap does not always have to look like it. good luck and congratulations
Reply:have you thought about not using a basket...how about a cone? so cute and more formal. Plus you can have it monogrammed...here are some on ebay but i know tons of bridal stores sell them too...
Reply:Try Target or even Kohl%26#039;s for great baskets. They%26#039;re more suited for home decor so they%26#039;re a bit larger than flower girl basets. Have you considered finding a straw handbag with short handles? Depending on how casual your wedding is, this could be a fun alternative to a basket -- and something your flower girl could keep.

This is a link to website that sells larger flower girl baskets. They have 4 pages to choose from and some are very elegant looking.
Reply:Contact your florist. They have wholesale lines that they order baskets from for all occasions. They will help you find the perfect basket. They can also decorate any basket to make it look great. Save yourself the stress and get some help from you vendors that you are already paying for.

As for the petals if your getting married in a church please make sure if you must use silk petals or if you can use naturals. I have been running into that regularly with past few weddings. Different ideas for different locations.

If you are required to use silks have your florist order them in the bulk bags. You will get a better quality of petal and the color should not bleed onto the flooring or carpet.

Good luck and blessings on your marriage!!
Reply:good luck
Reply:Every year my mother in law gets us a basket from Harry and David that has a really cool printed fabric basket liner in it. I didn%26#039;t see anything on their website, but maybe you could call them and ask if they have any fabric liners in white.

Alternatively, you could buy a regular basket from a craft store and tie a large ribbon in your wedding color on the handle and you%26#039;re good to go. Spray paint it if you%26#039;re really into a white basket. It won%26#039;t look tacky if you do it properly, that%26#039;s how they make the white baskets white, they paint them. good luck
Reply:You might check at your marriage location because many don%26#039;t allow the throwing of petals so you woudln%26#039;t need to worry.

The flower girl thing is mostly just for show.

Buy the small basket and don%26#039;t worry about such a trivial thing.
Reply:Have you tried, AC Moore? You should also check with the place you are getting married, as some places now do not allow petals to be thrown.

I would recommend maybe going to Michaels and having them make it there for you.
Reply:Stop looking at flower-girl baskets and start looking at regular baskets. Michael%26#039;s has thousands of baskets. Find a size you like and line it with a white fabric and hot glue some fake roses around the outside. Better yet, have your maid of honor work with the 8 year old and they can do it together as a project.

Just be careful with those petals. They can be slippery and cause people to fall.
Reply:Have you looked on ebay?
